Hello!!! My name is Mrs. Valentine and I am one of the School Counselors here at Kenwood Elementary. I have been at KES since 2018. I am a positive resource and support system for the school. I help reinforce the school’s mission to help students succeed and reach their full potential mentally, socially, emotionally, and academically. I advocate for each student no matter race, ethnic background, religion, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, disability, or learning level. I believe that all students have the potential to succeed with resources and support. My mission is to help every student have the ability to increase their learning potential. I work collaboratively with parents, teachers, school administrators/staff, and community members.

What I love to do most in my spare time is reading, pinning on Pinterest, and listening to music. I have a beautiful family that consists of my husband, our son, and boy and girl twins.

The picture above is a sample of my virtual Bitmoji School Counseling Office. Students and parents/guardians can use resources on our website to stay connected with us. The services that are available even in a virtual setting. Our traditional learning families can access these resources as well. Students will be able to explore our virtual guidance classroom and use the numerous links to resources such as GoNoodle, calm down techniques, how to social distance, growth mindset, etc. Students will also have many links in our social and emotional learning libraries. We will post weekly guidance lessons with audio for students to view. Activities to follow along with the lesson will be posted as well.
